My Ride-or-Die Cosmetic 2012
Let’s rewind to 2012 — ninth grade, school trip to Bangalore, packed buses, packed bags, and hearts full of excitement. We were a bunch of OG girls sharing a room, grooming together, chilling between sightseeing and school-mandated fun. And amidst the chaos, sleepovers, and giggles — I discovered Lakmé eyeliner. And no, I haven't looked back since.
If there was one person who owned the fashionista title in school, it was Saachi. She had that effortless charm — and eyeliner was her weapon of choice. Thick, sharp wings, always on point. One night, while we were getting ready to explore the streets of Bangalore, Saachi casually picked up her Lakmé Liquid Eyeliner and said, "Shut your eyes." My hands trembled too much to even try, so she did it for me.
That first swipe changed something in me. A mix of boldness, elegance, and confidence — all from one tiny glass bottle. Since that moment, I’ve stuck to the same product, and I swear by it to this day.
Fast-Forward to Today: Same Eyeliner, Better Wings 💅🏼
Years later, I still use the Lakmé Insta-Liner. The same jet black, easy-to-use, travel-friendly icon. From learning to hold still as someone else drew on my eyes — to now applying it on others with ease — it’s been a full-circle moment. Why i love this eyeliner, and why you might too. It is Beginner-friendly, Affordable, leaves you with a Classic finish and is Long-lasting!
Makeup should never feel like a compulsion. I believe it’s an accessory — something you wear when you want to, not when you have to. For me, eyeliner is that one thing that gives your face instant oomph. Just a wing, a smile, and a little gloss — and you’re good to go. From Saachi to Me — and Now, Maybe to You?
Saachi, if you’re reading this — thank you, sweety. You taught me more than just how to line my eyes. You taught me that beauty lies in sharing, experimenting, and lifting each other up. Today, when I apply eyeliner on someone else, I always think of you, narrate this story and go down memory lane!
